Future of Food Festival 2025

Future of Food Festival 2025

Designed to inspire, evoke and educate, the Future of Food event series is a yearly celebration of the future of food underpinned by sustainability, innovation and creativity.

The evening explored the future of the industry and we were on a panel of experts along with with Chantelle Nicholson, founder & chef owner of Apricity Restaurant, Imme Ermgassen co-founder of Botivo Drinks, Kate Hardcastle MBE aka The Consumer Whisperer, and Mex Ibrahim, founder of Women In The Food Industry. The panel was expertly hosted by Sheila Dillon of BBC Radio 4's The Food Programme.

The discussion touched on the tough realities we face – from UPF’s dominating diets, to boardroom short-termism, the crisis in hospitality, and the growing disconnect between consumers and food producers.

But we also spent time discussing the green shoots too - from brands as educators, to placing flavour and joy at the centre of our food system, the women building ecosystems of empathy and purpose, and notable disruptors and challengers reimagining a more positive future of food.

We had the pleasure of tasting delicious canapés by Chantelle and Apricity, and flavour-forward Botivo no-alc cocktails. It was a dynamic and interactive session and we look forward to the 2026 iteration.
