Trend forecasting for the Irish food board

We were invited to take part in a future forecasting and innovation event with Bord Bia. The Irish food board is responsible for trade development and growing the success of Irish food, drink and horticulture. A group of Bord Bia associates and producers visited London for an immersive food trends tour to understand how Irish ingredients and produce operate within the UK market, and identify opportunities for future growth.

We took part in a panel discussion alongside innovation and NPD colleagues from Burger King (a major client for Bord Bia, as they source Irish beef for their UK and Irish restaurants). Attendees included Lakeland Dairies, Tirlan, Kepak, Carbery, Dawn Farms, and Dew Valley.

We shared insights into how the UK food and drink market is shifting, emerging consumer behaviour trends, and how Irish food and drink in particular can meet those trends.

Harris and Hayes are often called upon by major brands and food boards to share food and drink insights. We pride ourselves on identifying meaningful, long-tail trends which present genuine business opportunities and growth.
