Harris and Hayes Food and Drink Symposium

Harris and Hayes Food and Drink Symposium

Our 2020 food and drink futures event was a great success at Mimo in London Bridge. Tickets sold out and the audience were treated to insightful discussions from panelists including Imogen Davis (Native Restaurant), Hannah Carter (Oggs) and Philippe Hohlfeld (design engineer).

We developed three concepts to shape the discussion and encapsulate the core trends we see emerging over the next 12 months:

  1. Holistic futuristic: Exploring how technology allows us to (re)connect with nature and address issues of food security, health, sustainability and climate change.

  2. Refined unrefined: The opposite of futuristic, AI and tech this concept is about honouring food in its most natural state (raw, unfiltered, unrefined) and looking back to a purer, gastronomical world to resolve problems of the future.

  3. Healthy indulgence: Health is being redefined. Rather than something boring and worthy, consumers want to be healthy-ish to fit their lifestyles and enjoy healthy indulgence.
